Describe who you are as a company and why you love doing what you do?

We are a London-based event planning studio, planning one-of-a-kind weddings and parties across Europe, founded in 2014. The idea for the company came to me following ten years working in the luxury fashion industry, most recently at Alexander McQueen, following my own wedding. It felt like there was a need for a creative, painstakingly detail-obsessed approach to private events, drawing on all of my years working in fashion and my understanding of luxury, but in an unpretentious and highly personal way. I’ve never looked back - private events are hugely rewarding, and the friendships I’ve built with clients along the way are really special.

And what would you say sets you apart from other event planners?

We love working with clients that care about every little detail - hopefully as much as we do! I think our clients often find us initially through our event styling, and we do strive to ensure each party or wedding we do is interesting and original aesthetically, but for us, that is secondary to the importance of creating an amazing atmosphere. We are all about the magic you can create when the lighting, music, mood and guest flow is just right. We always prioritise looking after your guests - their enjoyment is central to our process. Our approach is meticulous, and we only take on a small number of projects each year to ensure we have the time to really devote ourselves to each one. We also want the process to be really enjoyable for our clients - both in the lead-up, and on the day - this should be fun! We love going to great parties ourselves, and our clients tend to share that enthusiasm.

Venue’s play such an important part in the success of an event, what are your top tips for choosing the right venue?

When choosing a venue you should always start with your budget, as the venue decision dictates so much of the final cost of your wedding, so the two go hand-in-hand. If you have a tighter budget, go for a venue that is naturally beautiful already and doesn’t require a huge amount of dressing - it’s much harder and more costly to create a great atmosphere in an empty blank canvas space.

Assuming your wedding isn’t an evening-only affair, natural light and lovely outdoor space are really important. Budget practicalities aside, think about how the different spaces of a venue will work together - do you have good, distinct areas to host the ceremony, drinks, reception, and afterparty if you are considering one. And always consider the wet weather plan if you’re planning to have parts of the day outdoors - if the venue has a great indoor option for this, rather than your needing to get a back-up marquee, even better. The weather across Europe now is so unreliable, so you need a solid plan B.

We’ve collaborated in the past, tough question, but if you had to choose one which collaboration with us is your favourite?

We did a very special wedding in Lake Como in 2023, which is one I will always remember, with the loveliest clients. The romantic red rose explosion for the welcome party, the botanical wonderland wedding reception tent - I loved it all.

Share one project you’re working on for 2024 that makes you really excited.

I couldn’t pick one - I am excited about them all!
