April Something Blue at Claridge's

A perfect spring wedding in London with a blue colour scheme - a total pleasure for us as it’s a palette we rarely get to explore with weddings!
For Rebecca and Freddie’s ceremony at The Grosvenor Chapel in Mayfair we decorated the ancient pews with aisle posies, drawing all eyes to the picture-perfect urns at the front of the chapel which flanked the couple as they were married. Then for the elegant reception around the corner at the iconic Claridge’s Hotel we dressed the round tables with 1 metre high vases bursting with seasonal flowers. Our favourite creation though had to be the show-stopping mantlepiece arrangement.
April is such a lovely time to get married. Being so close to the start of the British season, the blooms available during this time of year are so distinctive that each arrangement is a total pleasure to create. Who doesn’t love a tulip? Our designs combined these spring-time favourites with white anemones, pale yellow roses, pale pink ranunculus and meadow flowers. By weaving these softer colours into each arrangement, the blue delphiniums were able to really pop ensuing that the couple’s brief of ‘something blue’ couldn’t be missed by any guests.
