Lucy Vail Floristry is an award-winning luxury floral design studio specialising in weddings, events and installations. Renowned for ‘bringing the outside in’ and our bold use of colour, we can transform any environment into an immersive botanical wonderland. All of our projects are seasonable, sustainable and most are made from solely British flowers.
Our APPROACH
Every design, from a small bouquet to a large-scale installation, is inspired by the delicate forms and textures of the flowers themselves which means that, just like nature itself, no two projects are ever the same. Our team is constantly pushing the creative boundaries of luxury floral design by adopting new sustainable techniques. Entering every space designed by Lucy Vail Floristry feels like discovering a secret garden for the first time: a magical world, bursting with colourful British blooms.
Our ETHOS
All arrangements are made with no single-use plastic and we never use non-biodegradable floral foam. We passionately believe that the future of luxury floristry is rooted in understanding the importance of seasonality so from March to October we only predominantly British flowers in all projects, most of which come straight from Lucy’s family flower farm in Suffolk. There’s nothing we love more than showcasing the incredible variety of British-grown flowers and foliage through our work.
Floriston FLOWER FARM
When the opportunity to start a flower farm with her family arose it was a no-brainer for Lucy. Established in 2020, Floriston Flower Farm is run by Lucy’s mother, Amanda Vail. Such an intimate partnership between grower and florist means we can plant exactly what is needed in the LVF studio, minimising waste. Now we can deliver truly unique, top quality blooms straight from seed to vase and have opened an online shop, through which clients nationwide can order luxury bouquets or DIY buckets as one-off purchases or subscriptions.
Our TEAM
Based in London, our team provides floral design across the length and breadth of the UK and further afield. With a wealth of experience in luxury floristry and event production, everyone in the team is essential to the day-to-day running of the studio. For large scale events and installations, our core team is supported by incredible freelance florists, all experts in their field and top of their game. When hosting a luxury event in store on Savile Row there was only one florist I wanted to use - Lucy - after incredible referrals from friends using her for their weddings. We worked with her signature style and added bits from my colour palette - pale pinks and white mainly. Working with Lucy whilst launching our first hospitality venue, The Hawk's Nest has been an absolute delight. Always brimming with brilliant ideas and passionate energy, on our first meeting Lucy came up with the idea for a totally bespoke nest style entranceway installation which immediately grabs visitors and passersby's attention. She has seasonally relaunched our entrance and designed and executed a winter woodland garden concept throughout the space which resulted in us being featuring as one of TimeOut London's top winter terraces for drinking and dining.
